As lucy calls it- “the perfect wedding”. perhaps.

anwyays, before i start this post, i just found out my dad reads my blog. GOSH. so, hello dad. OMG. i dunno what to say now. lol. theres so much to say-lets start w last week. last week, i really wanted to blog. but i couldnt bring myself to. i was in a whirl of emotions that there wasnt really anything that i use to captuweridosre those emotions and pen it down. last weekend was good. had an awesome time w chris and fab and vic playing majong at chris’ place. before that had dinner at namkee- one of my fav zhicha places near thomson(: the games were relaxed and it was just great to hang out w such great company to end my week. sat was a good day. thanks. i guess it was necessary. and thanks for how it turned out. sunday was awesome too. did everything i wanted to do. plus gymed and badminton… all fun(: but my knee hurt like hell the past week ): haha. the past week went well. was considerbly busy. (wait. im always busy. screw it). haha. but yeah, it was meaningful in many ways. monday was the best. or was it tuesday. LOL. nevermind.

but lets move on to the topic of the perfect wedding(: hahaha. why? okay. im just going to talk abt weddings. HAHAHA. it was perfect cos everybody who was somebody was there. hmm. like snr minister goh. cabinet ministers. datuks. ceos…and the list goes on..(good time for a fund raising event right? HAHAHA). ya. the food was freaking awesome. and the people were beautiful, glamourous and just pure awesomeness. I have to talk abt the food. This HAS to be THE BEST food ive eaten at a wedding! and im sure its going to be somewhat similar to my ideal wedding menu(: course1. appetiser-seafood platter+ some usual chinese stuff like charsiew, moneybag etc 2. sharksfin w crabmeat soup 3. cod fish with some awesome sauce 4. abalone with beancurd and veg 5.seafood noodles (including scallop, prawns, mushroom, fish, veg) 6. mango pudding w assorted fruits.  SEE. perfectness. WHHY? cos im a die-hard seafood fan(: and every course had seafood(: HAHAHAHA. but honestly, i dont think i would want my wedding to be such a big thing. not that big at least. nothing more than 700 guests please. i think i’ll want my wedding to be a small-scaled event. something cool, perhaps overseas and just romantic and surreal. one day without the paparazzi and gossip. one day with just friends, family and loved ones. HAHA. but the design aspect will be boomz. haha. no leopard prinz. just awesome designs(: this weekend was lazy. thank god the sun was up(: managed to slack around the pool yesterday and catch ‘poker king’. its quite a good show i must say(: shit lar. maybe i wanna grow up be a professional poker player HAHAHAHAHA. andrew needs sponsors when the IR comes up! lol. anyways, the weekend is over. rawr. next week super packed schedule. lets goooo(:

“you found me when no one else was looking…. how did u know. just where i would be…”… anyways i found this on facebook! HAHAHA. Reasons to sleep with an IB student. LOL. randomness, but its worth the read for a good laugh(:

1) We can fit two years worth into a month.

2) Re-take? What’s a re-take? We get it right first time.

3) We have incredible endurance.

4) No matter how much work we have, we can still make free time for ourselves.

5) We can serenade our partners in at least 2 different languages.

6) Our Physicists are experts at handling the forces between two objects.

7) Our Biologists know their way around the human body better than any other 6th form student.

8) The chemistry in a relationship is mere child’s play to our higher Chemists.

9) Our Mathematicians’ knowledge of projectile motion means that things will never get messy – unless you want them to.

10) We are experts at getting the maximum amount of work done with the least amount of effort.

11) Because we do it with creativity, action and (give you a) service.

12) We have experience in extended activity.

13) We can take it to a Higher Level.

14) “A-level students are like tired old bangers; they’ll do the job, but it’ll be a bit boring. IB students go like Ferraris.”

15) Our English syllabus puts a lot of emphasis on oral assessment.

16) No need for modules here; we do it all in one go.

17) It’s widely recognised that IB is longer and harder.

18) Haven’t you seen the IB people wandering around saying how fucked they are?

19) We’re used to going all night long.

20) Our Computer Scientists can push all the right buttons.

21) Our Economists know just how to supply what you demand.

22) A session with one of our Pyschologists will relieve stress and help you sleep at night; and I’m not talking about Insomnia Therapy.

23) We IBers fall asleep in class so that we can get more done at night.

24) Experiments conducted around the world have at last confirmed what we have long suspected: sleeping with an IB student can in some cases double the IQ of a student doing a less rigorous qualification.

25) Our Group 4 students are fearless when it comes to experimentation.

26) We treat you like we treat our homework – we slam you on the table and do you all night long.

27) Thanks to TOK, we have several different methods for getting to ‘know’ you.

28) We go beyond doing just what we have to do, to make things more interesting.

29) Our Geographers know what to push and how to pull.

30) If you want, we work well in larger groups.

31) We can think creatively and come from all sorts of new angles.

32) Essays aren’t the only long thing we can pull out of our pockets at a moment’s notice.

33) Our musicians will bring things to a slow swell followed by a climax.

34) Our Design & Technology students know just what materials and methods are right for you.

35) We can assess you both externally and internally.

36) Hey, we do need some reason to sleep.

37) We’re willing to try new methods to get better results.

38) We’ve never been known to finish early.

39) It’s not just our essays that are extended.

40) Like variety? We’re international!

41) Our Historians will make it a night to remember.

42) Our Business students know all the right places to do their business.

43) Give the Kama Sutra to an IB student, and they won’t just read and remember, but analyse and improve.

44) Our Visual Arts students aren’t just aesthetically pleasing.

45) IB students aren’t just better prepared for college academically.

46) Our Design & Technology students can handle a short nail or a long screw.

47) We penetrate topics from every direction.

48) Our Music students will get you into the rhythm.

49) Our Environmentalists know all about getting dirty.

50) We’re all-rounders, by which we mean we’re all around ‘er.

51) Our Theatre students can play any part you want them to.

52) Our Mathematicians are always looking to have sec^2 x once they’ve differentiated tan x.

cheers. toodles(:

its been quite a while since i last blogged. it realise that ive been so caught up with everything to the point where sometimes i completely forget that i have a blog. perhaps i must really try and make the effort to blog more consistently. my life has been considerbly interesting and things are picking up. in more aspects than one. the past week was quite an emotional rollercoaster. i will not go into any details but all i have to say that ive been fortunate. last weekend was spent with chris to support micheal at smu’s voice competition at plaza sing. the competition wasnt fantastic. perhaps only one small section was interesting, but everything else was rather boring and unprofessional- which would explain the poor turn out. but im sure the purpose was to support a frien- not so much to criticially judge the quality of the event. i guess this also confirms my decision that smu is not the place for me. dinner was with micheal, sarah and chris at hongkong cafe, thereafter we headed for a movie then it was goodbye, goodnight. didnt sleep much sat night, so sunday was spent catching up on lost sleep. the past week was busy, meaningful and im enjoying making friends at work. spent yesterday swimming and went out w daniel, jml and alvin. it was sort of daniel’s farewell b4 heading off to australia for his excercise and a farewell for jml b4 he goes to london for his sisters wedding. had dinner at barcelos and drinks at harrys. awesome company as always! have safe trip guyss(: take care and stay safe! today was a slack sunday. church, lunch, movie (imagine that), swim then dinner. the message today was really good. i think its so true and i think we need to tackle this as a church and start a minstry for it. talking about God- after reflecting this week, i must say that ive sorta been so caught up with so many things- God has been neglected. i felt that i put Him on hold.  i feel really bad. but thank God im boucing back immediately and i know i must make Him the centre of my life(: oh. my shirts have arrived from the states! thats great news. haha. im going to do another order soon. via another method. haha. lets see if it worksss. this weeks going to be busy- like all the past weeks. hahaha.

“people mistakenly assume that their thinking is done by their head. it is actually done by the heart which dictates the conclusion, then commands the head to provide the reasoning that will defend it.” (:

give me love, or nothing.

hello(: firstly, the title is purely random. -.- haha.

the weekend was quite a blast. in fact, it was considerbly busy in a good way. work has been keeping me busy too, so thats good. im really starting to like my job scope and what i do, so thats great in many ways. was supposed to meet up for a majong session last week, but plan epic fail. due to the lack of planning, the lack of one more player and just other commitments and work. sry chris. friday night went to watch ’stomp’ at the esplanade. wasnt supposed to go actually, just that my bro had a spare ticket, so dont waste lor. just went. it was good as usual- not much difference from 2 years back when i watched it. really love the torn, dirty-looking costumes and the transition between the scenes. good stuff. sat was incredibly busy. morning was burnt with other work, then it was a slightly less busy and more relaxed afternoon. swam for a while. im quite addicted to swimming now- i guess cos swimming acts as the substitution for running since my knee is busted. lol. i just hate it when a cloud covers the sunnn. or when its cloudy! rawr. just spoilts my few hours by the pool! HATE IT> dinner was awesome. went to celebrate dougs birthday!(: uploaded some of the pics on fb! HAHAHA. sunday was busy too! started the day in church. really really glad that the more i go for the service, the more i know its the right service for me- cos i know gods using the people around me and the messages to speak to me(: then it was off to ion orchard to check out 2 new shops. topman (which had its offical opening last week), kikki (some new swedish-australian stationery shop). yup. lovely stuff. i just went to do some browsing. might get stuff the next time i drop by.hahaha. chilling out at starbucks followed before meetin daniel, jml and alvin at chilis for lunch. havent met them since the F1 so it was great to catch up with them(: i think we’ve all been incredibly busy with our own stuff, but we always make time to catch up!!- which is fantastic. after lunch, it was off to nat lib to watch “the hossan leong show”. got ticks for it. it was so. GOOD. FABULOUS! and extremely LOCAL and FUNNY. well, come to think of it, i would rather watch a few of these productions a year rather than those imported shows at the esplande. support local funny talent! lol.

work was interesting today. was telling shyan long that if everyday was like this, work would be perfect. the work flow was great, plus, it was mentally stimuating! busy with medical appts and physio this week too. oh and driving. busy busy week. oh. and ms chocks sec replied me today. finally. she said that ms chock has written a second appeal to the IB with regards to this matter. anyways, as i could infer from the email, i am not the only one in this predicament. IF YOU are from the graduating class of 2008 and YOU ARE FACING the same problem as me, PLEASE TELL ME K?? i would love to know. haha. now waiting for the reply. lets see. im looking forward to the weekend already! (: cheers ya’ll.

so take me to the dance floor, and we’ll twist the night away…

okay. the title of this blog post is incredibly random. its from hairspray… cos it just happens to be playing at the moment. i really didnt realise that i havent been blogging in such a long time. i honestly hate it when i blog surf and there isnt any update- so yeah. im sry to all who has been checking and there has been no change since the last post. ive been incredibly busy recently. from the change of vocation and my goodbye safti- to adapting to my new vocation and my new job scope. the weekends have also been very busy. there was the first platoon bbq a couple weeks back. it post071009was kinna awesome to be invited back. and its really sad to know that my original section is now down to 4 members:(! but the people are still as awesome as ever(: the bonding and friendshipps(: spending the evening after at timbre with terry, clement and joash just ending the night on a great note. yes. i still miss safti and my ex plt mates! HAHA.  then there F1! thanks jml for the invitation. didnt really expect to be going this year. anyways im no fan of F1. haha. all i can say, its so much more organised this year. the organisers did an awesome job! and i regretted going abt 20mins earlier- because backstreet boys were performing. anyways i did manage to catch them and they are awesome(: (eventhough they are such old dudes! HAHA) they’re better live than on the mp3! HAHA. had farewell tea with michelle too! it was great to catch up. sadly shes not returning this christmas :( but im sure she will do well and hv great fun overseas! last week had the art exhibition. so many ppl turned up from the class. i honestly think that the works look so rushed and some were abit unprofessional, but i really think some of the works are just awesome. just some. haha. lets see how many 7s there will be this year…. my guess. 2 (and 1 will be from sl art). headed to broadway for dinner, then starbucks for a chat and chillax and catch up time.

adapting well to my new office. anyways im the only perm nsf in the office. and i work with dxos, who are really nice people(: repacked the entire office and it looks so neat now! love it! oh. i went to kranji camp today. f man. the walk from yewtee to kranji was a night mare. so freaking far! i went there for my asa e-test. passing mark was 70%. was really nervous as i didnt prepare at all. thinking it was an open book. but yeah, THANK GOD i was fm registry and my admin knowledge helped ALOT. got 76%- was one of the 2 of abt 12 ppl who passed it(: (not sure abt the rest of the people who left after me though) and i left like 30 mins b4 the end of the paper. that probably made my day! thank god(: and that made the walk all the way back much less painful.

oh yes. i recently received a call from ACSI. they told me that i need to pay 140bucks. cos my results were pending when it was issued to me on results day.and since they refunded me the money for the upgrade in results, they want it back, cos its not an upgrade. it was always 41 points from the start. it was just pending. anyways i think its ridiculous. so heres my reply back to the school.

post2,071009

i swear, if u’re facing the same situation as me, please let me know. i think this would make a good piece of news in The Straits Times, about the CREDIBILITY and RELIABILITY of the IBO. i also think it would incredibly ridiculous if im the ONLY one facing this problem. anyways, im not paying the money for now. im just going to blow up the situation. ‘boomz!‘ im dying to get a good explaination from IBO and ACSI. but no ones replying. i wonder WHyyy! haha.

glad the weekend is drawing near. and i cant wait for my package to arrive from the states… hope it doesnt get lost! goodbye world(:

the weekend went by pretty quickly. too fast in fact. saturday morning was busy, followed by lunch and then headed to town to help jml get some art stuff at ps. shopping for art stuff is always fun and i did manage to find some stuff which im sure i would use. bought some paper and some stickers for myself, which im sure would come in handy soon. also glad i managed to finish one of the art work i was working on. despite the fact that the freaking graphite paper didnt work- i guess i pulled it off rather nicely, with a classy yet cartoony funky finish. sunday morning was spent at church, then it was off for a nice lunch before heading off to do some stuff and heading off for the appointment in the afternoon with fab and chris. met them in ion and we did some shopping at various shops. ended up only getting one top since 3 wasnt really going to work since there wasnt more S size. then it was off for a sushi break, before heading to meet yangjian before we headed to bugis for dinner and more shopping. dinner was at one of my fav places. the fish soup place which im sure i wrote about before. then it was off to iluma to just walk around since fab and chris hadnt been there before. i must say that that place is truely overrated and im sure they are just trying to make it a more happening place. got another top while shopping at bugis street and then we headed off to chris’s place for majong and just to chill out. spent some good quality time talking about whats been happening too and i guess it was a good time to just share and all. before we knew it, it was past 12, so i decided to cab back- sharing the cab with yjian and dropping fab on the way. today was incredibly slack. woke up, slacked around before lunch then headed to the pool and gym for physio and to relax abit. then took a short nap before heading out again. then spent the rest of the day at home.

was reading kenneths blog a few days back and i must say i really love this: “The military is a bubble that shields one from the realities of the outside world. It is similar to a school in that sense, but at least the education one receives at school opens doors to future prospects and opportunities. When one leaves the army, one is grateful if one hasn’t fallen too far behind.” sometimes i really feel this way. i think this is why sometimes im just so easily depressed at the circumstances ive been put into because of the way things are. and i hate this word. and the word is directive. i swear. this is one of the many words i would love to remove from the dictionary.

the unexpected just happened and it just seems to trigger off alot again. this pisses me off so much. i swear. just please give me control and lets not even go down that road…

happily ever after is so once upon a time

its about time i talk again

•September 17, 2009 • Leave a Comment

with the exception of the some-what previous post i made, i guess i honestly havent blogged in quite some time. its about time that i say something or perhaps just express my thoughts on what the heck has been happening to me a while back. firstly, i am not who u think i am. secondly, life as u see me living it- is all just a facade. probably. unless your one of the few friends who truely know what is going on in my life. anyways i was honestly suffering from depression. not just because of army. but because of many other things in life. the accumulation of dark clouds, gloomy circumstances and dim situations are just daunting which caused me to have lost myself in the process. suicide was definietly one of the options which flashed by constantly. from jumping off buildings to killing yrself using a gun to eating alot of sleeping pills till u die…. and the list goes on. but truely suicide was one of the top proirities after giving up on my faith if nothing hopeful turns up. yes. i was extreme. the sleepless nights, bucketloads of tears, stone-weighing your heart down feeling and alot more emo feelings have just been some of the things that have weighed me down. at church 2 weeks back the message was on “are you lost? lost all hope?” and i knew that the message was for me. because of that, i just clung onto that glimmer of hope. i cried for about 2hours in church-thereafter receving prayer, counciling and stuff. the week after that went by smoothly. last week, i went to church again- hoping to receive something again. i knew that god had somewhat helped me. so i just went back to church. the message was on ‘depression’. how appropriate. anyways, for now, im much better. i just took mc for the entire week- bcos of fever and tonsilitis. its something which has been bugging me on a monthly basis. cant be bothered with it. just that what annoys me is that im starting to get immuned to alot of medication and antibiotics.. which is not favourable. as for me and my life at its present stage- im better- thats for sure. so if u read this- stop asking me over msn if im okay. cos if im not. i’ll show it. its that obvious.

caught a movie last sat night. gamer. haha. was a pretty good show in my opinion. i think its cos i havent watched a movie in quite some time. plus i just needed an action packed film. the plot was somewhat sketchy. the action was quite intense and to some extent, i nearly wanted to close my eyes to give it a break. the ending was unreal and there were bits of the movie which were just random. but other than that, it was a pretty good show to just chill and relax. this week been sleeping hell lot. been watching alot of oprah. biggest loser. oh and i watched the tuxedo again. and americas got talent. tomorrow survivor is starting again. cant wait. but the medicine is making me sleep alot. and well, its good to get rest la. since im on attc. some part of me is shocked that i missed the entire week at work. but i know that jeremys back fm the states and i guess he’ll cover for my absence la- just till next week. just got off the phone with kenneht too. it was good to catch up with him la. i was supposed to meet him this week. but due to my sickness- couldnt. i think we share some similar views to some stuff. and im glad that he called la. im sure we’ll finish up that convo sometime soon. maybe tomorrow. anyways, for now, its time to take summore pills and knock out. working out a light schedule for this weekend too.

this week was quite an experience. i guess it was generally a good week. made new friends, getting used to this new routine and ive been attached to registry from tomorrow onwards for a temp time. really hope i do well enough to stay in HR or registry for the rest of my ns time till i ord. so please keep me in prayer. thanks. today was a great day. church, lunch and went to play badminton. just had dinner. and im so tired. i barely slept much this weekend… and the weather today was truely perfect for a good snooze or nap. yesterday night was the class farewell dinner for jia, jaime and mich, who would be heading to UK in early/mid sept and in oct. really wish them all the best. it was really great to see how many people actually came(: and yeah, it was great to catch up with everyone as always(: ps: ive uploaded the pics fm my cam onto facebook already.

5614_1075522902881_1670460012_147252_7995133_n copy

was busy the entire morning on sat too. had stuff on. then it was lunch. after lunch was my ‘ its time to take a short tan by the pool/ swim(: time’ i swear the sun was so awesome i was so tempted to stay by the pool for the entire day! such a vast difference from today. rawwr. then it was off to print the card designs and to meet the usual bunch to crash jmls place. its looking great and i guess it shd be completed in no time! and jml- wheres the pool table! hint hint. lol. just chilled out, hanged around, chatted and played a good game of pictionary. dkoh n i OWNED! haha. anyways heres just 2 drawings! HAHAHA. a catapult and a wind chime. how awesome. ROFL.

pictionary

worst than kindergarten drawings rite! LOL. kiddin la. anyways it was fun while it lasted. HAHA. and thanks to jase for always helping me with my songgs. thanks alot. okay. now to backtrack to friday. LOL. slept incredibly early. i think it was cos i accumulated so many late nights. anyways the news paper had 2 cool things which i wanted to blog about. the first of which is a samsung2view camera. its a new camera with a screen in the front and at the back. i swear thats the dream camera for every cam-whore! INNOVATION CAM-WHORE MADE EASY(:haha. and the second thing i wanted to blog about was the article about national day songs. like i mentioned in an earlier post, i didnt like this years national day song. it reads “the newer songs written for national day are more “transcient” and “dont resonate as much” because their messages are more “abstract”. bascially, i think the writer agrees with me la- you just dont like it either. my fav song will still have to be dick lee’s “HOME” which becomes so much more meaningful when you read about the inspiration in which triggered him to write this awesome song. clement chow also mentioned that songs should fuction “like “anthems”", like count on singapore and stuff. oh. thanks also to arj, who msged me to collect my pes status. ive been already medical board cleared! and im on per down pes status. thats awesome. cos my knee is still a pain. cant wait for physio. been gyming alot lately. i think its cos i got the time. and well, since i cant run or jog, thats probably the only way to still stay fit.

hope this week goes well. cheers ya’ll(:

miss universe 2009

•August 24, 2009 • Leave a Comment

today i started my 8-530am posting at HRSSC at Safti. reported with the rest of the OOCs at abt noon and it wasnt long before we were accustomed to our surroundings. stuck in the strong room which weizhong finds claustrophobic and just spent the rest of the day chilling, resting and the only thing i thought i did which was productive was probably making calls out. well, i know its already setting in, but i honestly am starting to miss my platoon mates in wing line(okay, in marsling since they’re having their s.king). i miss the late night chats, the gossip sessions and just chilling and hanging out with them during their free time and all. but well, ive learnt to move on. and i guess we’ll surely keep in touch. got a msg from a friend last night which touched me. he previously told me how friendships in the army doesnt last… and i countered that by telling him that firstly, it takes 2 to click. and secondly, friendships take time and effort and communication. its been like a month since we got to know each other, and now, we do regard each other as gd and true friends. i guess this is what we didnt imagine- cos we knew that army friendships were a mere hi-bye-goodbye kinna thing most of the time. certainly, this cant be the case for every friendship. i mean. im not the sort that would make friends with any1. heard that i might be getting a temp posting to mindef hq tomorrow. but its unconfirmed and uncertain at the moment. definietly need to bring things into keep me occupied and busy.

watched the miss universe 2009 competition this evening. anyways it just ended. i must say that im surprised at all the contestants of the top 5. my bet was australia, venezuela, puerto rico, czech republic to be in the top 4. didnt expect r3349598740czech to be kicked out. i think she and venezuela had the 2 most beautiful evening dresses. i really love how the venezuela one looked so elegant and had that ruby-red-glamourish touch. the czech one was my fav. loved the colors and the design and how she pulled it off so fabulously. was shocked with thailand and china won awards. i thought perhaps it would go to other countries, but im glad in that sense that asia is represented as well(:

back to work tomorrow. a new day. a new beginning. lets hope it all goes well and it becomes a more fruitful day. cheers.
